CILGA.
*natural pathways which are formed in such a way that a person and an animal can walk, especially on streams and slopes, are called CILGA.

CILGA, founded on the link between Architecture and Metaphor, is aiming to offer the visitors an experiential and interpretable sense of space. Following the marks of life and feeding on the relationship between abstract and concrete Cılga is expressing the power of architecture through metaphors. Located on a hillside and fed by water, soil and wind, Cılga is showering the space with light, texture, orientation, topography and forms and is attributing it with abstract and concrete features. Its main function is a spatial setup where people can cleanse their body and mind. Whereas the position and spatial setup of Cılga is based on the metaphor of death, cleansing and enlightenment, in this structure a design based on the Cılga philosophy and fitting the topography through the harmony of nature and place was aimed. This placement is experienced by the visitor in three stages. First, an invitation is extended to the visitor by a passage that is visible through the topography. The visitor, after accepting the invitation, experiences this passage as establishing the relationship between the aboveground and underground. Sensing a different atmosphere, the visitor experiences the second stage by advancing to the area dominated by texture and light, symbolizing purification. In the last stage, at the end of an aggressive, sharp and dark passage, the visitor is guided to a space to be defined by the visitor herself, experiencing a path meandering in nature; symbolizing the first steps toward tranquility.
The relationship between the Metaphor of Architecture and death, purification and enlightenment creates a subjective meaning for each user and helps them to identify their true selves. The sharp lines and angles of the structure support these metaphors, but also facilitate the visitor to express their sense of space, and act as a second metaphor to situations in life that they face but cannot change.
Cılga aspires to provide an experiential approach to embracing emotions; the darkness and the light, the past and the future and aims to express the power of architecture through the notion of abstract and concrete. It is a conceptual building structure that exists as it is used.
